About Me.
Born and raised in Utah, I'm proud to call Lehi home. My wife and I are raising our three children in the Jordan Willows neighborhood, where we’re deeply invested in the future of this incredible community.

I began my journey in public service as a teenager when I joined the U.S. Army. I attended the United States Military Academy at West Point, then served a church mission in Taiwan before completing my undergraduate studies at BYU. I later earned a master’s degree in Global Affairs and International Security Studies from the University of Oklahoma.

For 12 years, I served as a U.S. diplomat with the Department of State, with overseas assignments in China, Japan, and Pakistan. I also spent eight years as an Army Reserve officer, continuing my commitment to service and national security.

Today, I work in the private sector as Regional Director for Asia Pacific at Strider Technologies, helping organizations navigate complex international challenges.

My background in service, diplomacy, and leadership has shaped my belief in thoughtful governance, strong communities, and the importance of protecting what makes Lehi great.
Why I am running for city council
My Principles:
Protecting quality of life – Supporting schools, improving rec programs, parks, sidewalks, and neighborhood access.

Balancing development – Preserving our heritage of open spaces and ensuring growth doesn’t outpace infrastructure.

Strengthening our voice – Building better coordination with the state and neighboring cities to solve transportation issues faster.
My Pledges:
Total Transparency - I will explain every city council vote that I make, along with my logic and how I believe it will benefit the citizens of Lehi.

No Special Interests - I will not accept favors or campaign contributions from realtors or developers.

Green Space over Density - Lehi residents overwhelmingly support preserving and expanding our parks and green areas, and I will vote to support the voice of you and your families.
The Issues

Density
We must be strategic and begin controlling the growth in Lehi. We are approaching 100,000 residents, and without effective planning, our quality of life will diminish.

Zoning
Residential zones should always take priority over industrial zones when there is a conflict. The reasonable comfort of Lehi residents should be protected and evaluated constantly.

Infrastructure
Infrastructure comes before growth. Traffic is a headache for Lehi commuters and we must set a standard for responsible growth over immediate tax revenue for the city.

Coordination
We need to do more to coordinate with our neighboring cities and our state lawmakers in order to solve our growing pains. We cannot wait another decade, and we need to solve this issue faster and strategically.

Parks
Nearly all of us want additional green space, but it hasn't grown at the same rate as housing developments. This will be a priority in my term, especially completing unfinished parks.

Lower Taxes
I'll be bold here: property taxes are outrageous. The city controls around 18% of the property tax rate, and the school district controls most of it. We need to take steps as a city, and with the school districts, to lower the tax burden on residents
